A new tag to summarize what my book year has been like. I was tagged by J. R. Lynn @eternitybooks
1. Best Book
Probably has to be Love and Gelato. It was a great summer read, light and funny.
2. Best Sequel
I’m not sure how many sequels I read this year, but I think my favorite one was The Elite by Kiera Cass, the romance turned more fierce and there was more competition which made the series more interesting!
3. New Releses you haven’t read but want to
Anything by Victoria Schwab, I haven’t been able to get my hand on a copy of any of her books, hopefully I’ll be able to in 2019!
4. Biggest Disappointment
Method 15/33, basically it’s about a girl that gets kidnapped and makes a plan to escape. I had high hopes for this book since i love police thrillers, mystery etc. The book seemed to drag on forever, and it wasn’t interesting at all.
5. Biggest Surprise
The outsiders. I didn’t expect to love it as much as I did and I would love to reread at some point in 2019.
6. Favorite new author (debut or new for you)
It’s either Adam Silvera or Nicola Yoon. I love both of their writing styles and plots!
7. Newest Ficitonal Crush
I don’t think I have one this year, but if i had to choose maybe Lorenzo from Love and Gelato.
8. Newest Favorite Character
Don Tillman from The Rosie Project! He was a very funny character!
9. Book that made you cry
They both die at the end. I did not expect to cry because it’s in the title but wow I cried a few fat tears with the ending.
10. Book that made you happy
Okay but are we surprised that its love and gelato? It’s the third time I mention it in this tag. You guys should definitely go read it!
11. Most beautiful cover you bought or received this year
No doubt The Sun Is Also a Star by Nicola Yoon! A book where you meet two teens that are battling issues that are connected to where they come from (short review will be up soon!)
It’s super colorful and the title stands out against the colors perfectly! And doesn’t it remind you of a sunset (yes ironic since it has sun in the title lol)
12. What book do you need to read before the year ends?
There are so many on my TBR, but the one I really want to finish is We Were Liars by E. Lockhart
I hope you enjoyed this tag. I tag anyone who is reading this!
